International Women’s Day: Meet the Inspiring Women of Flatrock
International Women’s Day, observed annually on March 8, celebrates women’s achievements and advocates for gender equality in developed and developing countries alike. The day reminds us of women's social, economic, cultural and political achievements, and it was established to recognize women for their accomplishments around the world. Our organization is proud of our team members' contributions to further our mission of providing a sanctuary to everyone under our care so that they can live fully, achieve their dreams, and change the world.
For Flatrock, this day and every day are a time to appreciate all the exceptional women who work hard to foster an environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging and purpose. International Women’s Day is a time to celebrate the dedication and commitment of these individuals, recognize their achievements and inspire future generations.
Carrie Aldrich: A Leader with Heart
As Flatrock’s Chief Operating Officer, Carrie plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standard of care and community across the organization. She has dedicated her career to ensuring that each individual feels valued, supported, and empowered. She is highly committed to fostering an environment of respect, dignity, and autonomy.
Carrie’s vision has always been to provide a greater quality of life to those who are often overlooked by society. She has focused on creating a family-like setting with activities like celebrating birthdays, decorating for the holidays, and fostering connections through outings with the team. She communicates and leads with authenticity. We are so grateful to have Carrie as one of our leaders at Flatrock!
Our Staff: Committed and Passionate
The women of Flatrock are committed to providing compassionate, person-centered care to every resident. They support adults with diverse needs to help them lead fulfilling lives, ensuring each resident feels valued, respected and understood. Our team shows up every day to focus on the unique strengths, needs and aspirations of each individual.
Our team members bring a wide range of expertise and backgrounds from nursing and social work to education and recreation. Regardless of their specific roles, our team is focused on providing the best care to those we serve.

- Alycia Nikoloff: “She is an amazing manager and has given me amazing advice and always makes sure the Flatrock home is running smoothly.”
- Anna Grabouski: “She is always ready to assist anyone with anything while maintaining a smile on her face.”
- Danielle Thompson: “She goes above and beyond for her residents. She looks out for her staff, is a great team player, and a wonderful mom.”
- Jada Hall: “She inspires everyone she works with to be their best. She’s so personable and caring. Jada puts 110% into everything she does, and she’s an amazing female role model in this company.”
- Jennifer Thurman: “She is so inspiring. She has been great in every role that she has had at Flatrock. She cares for the residents unconditionally and cares for her staff. Her ability to create a team atmosphere and get people to work together and support each other, I have not seen it done better. Her work ethic is admirable.”
- Kamara Kline-Lewis: “She is very supportive to her staff and fulfills all the needs for her residents. She is a great friend to have by your side.”
- Kelsey Dimick: “She is always willing to be a helping hand when I am in need. She also helps me out a ton when I am out of the office/on vacation.”
- Leanda Ivy: “She is a phenomenal home manager. She goes above and beyond for the residents here. She cares for every one as if they were her own.”
- Liz Peters: “Her passion for the people she cares for is admirable.”
- Ountane Chaney: “She is absolutely amazing in her role! Nothing but a helping hand and that's what everyone needs.”
- Patti Lee: “She has always been a source of comfort and support for me. She advocates for anyone who needs it, answers her phone for anyone, and is extremely knowledgeable in all areas of Flatrock. She is the reason I have applied for several positions, and I know she is someone I can count on for not only work issues but if I just need to vent, she listens without judgement.”
- Stevie Walton: “No matter what, her residents are her first priority. Her love for them doesn’t go unseen.”
- Tiffany Ellis: “She believed in me from day one. She really is the true definition of a leader. I love the fact that she definitely has an open-door policy. She is always willing to help no matter what the situation may be. Even with personal things, she made me feel good knowing that Flatrock is family. She inspires me to learn as much as I can because my goal is to move up within the company someday. She told me that she definitely sees that in me.”
- Tori Thornton: “She has an incredible work ethic, is great to collaborate with, and is always there to lend a helping hand. Her work has positively impacted the lives of our residents and staff. She is amazing at what she does and inspires me to be a better OT.”
