Several of our care homes are equipped with sensory rooms for residents on the autistic spectrum or with other sensory disabilities. These rooms are a safe space designed to help residents learn to regulate their brain’s negative reactions to outside stimuli, and can include ball pits, white noise machines, soft lighting, weighted blankets, therapy balls; and more.

Flatrock residences are well-maintained, and include unique locations such as renovated homes and former schools. All our homes provide a healthy amount of space for private resident living quarters, plus amenities such as pools and recreation areas.

The safety and wellbeing of our residents is our priority. We provide 24/7 supervision with trained staff and access to medical care. Our medication rooms are locked and our doors and windows are alarmed and shatterproof, and doors have delayed access. Our individualized care for each resident, based on expert medical and psychiatric directives, ensures their safety, comfort and medical needs are recognized and provided for.

Flatrock homes not only provide our residents with their own private rooms and the usual conveniences, but all feature amenities that offer our residents opportunities for fun, exercise, or relaxation. Our activities room provides a communal space for our large events such as our annual prom and parties. Inside our homes are features varying from nature trails, trampolines, fireplaces, hydrotherapy tubs, fitness centers, game rooms or indoor swimming pools. There are also spaces within each home for interaction and education.
