Lawn Care Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:

• • Gather and dispose of trash or waste materials
  ‍
• • Use various hand tools like shovels, rakes, pruning saws, regular saws, hedge trimmers, brush trimmers, or axes
  ‍
• • Operate grounds maintenance equipment
  ‍
• • Operate company owned vehicles to or at work sites
  ‍
• • Water lawns, trees, or plants, using portable sprinkler systems, hoses, or watering cans
  ‍
• • Irrigate lawns, trees, or plants
  ‍
• • Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws
  ‍
• • Treat greenery or surfaces with protective substances
  ‍
• • Irrigate lawns, trees, or plants
  ‍
• • Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, planters, or other ground features
  ‍
• • Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls
  ‍
• • Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, or shrubs and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools
  ‍
• • Maintain landscape appearance
  ‍
• • Mow or edge lawns, using power mowers or edgers
  ‍
• • Rake, mulch, and compost leaves
  ‍
• • Install rock gardens, ponds, decks, drainage systems, irrigation systems, retaining walls, fences, planters
  ‍
• • Care for natural turf fields, making sure the underlying soil has the required composition to allow proper drainage and to support the grass used on the fields
  ‍
• • Haul or spread topsoil or spread straw over seeded soil to hold soil in place
  ‍
• • Maintain and advocate for all Flatrock residents’ rights
  ‍
• • Complete any additional tasks assigned
  ‍

Qualifications:

• • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  ‍
• • Valid Driver's license
  ‍
• • Two years of experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or groundskeeping and snow removal are required
  ‍
• • The ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude
  ‍
